Dr. Tagliabue receives patients at his practice in the centre of Monza. It is a leading medical centre where young patients can find a fun, playful atmosphere and a non-medical environment.

  • Careful physical examination, hygiene of the baby, care of the umbilicus and skin, and support with breastfeeding

Care of an infant throughout all phases of its development

  • Weaning, and defining a personalised nutrition programme in line with the latest scientific knowledge (from breast feeding/artificial milk to baby food feeding)
  • Assessment of a child’s growth in terms of the ratio of length to weight (ponderal index). Assessment of the bodily systems and of motor and neuro sensory development
  • Support in the physiology of family relations
  • Treatment of minor sleep disorders and SIDS prevention (sudden infant death syndrome)
  • Definition of an individualised vaccination programme , that includes:
    • Compulsory vaccinations: diphtheria, tetanus, antipolio, antihepatitis B
    • Optional vaccinations such as measles, whooping cough, mumps, rubella, Hib, meningitis

Growth of premature babies:

Thanks to his years of clinical work as Head of Neonatal Intensive Care, Dr. Tagliabue has gained particular experience in the field of the most common illnesses to affect premature babies, both in the acute phase and once the baby has been discharged from hospital care.

Dr. Tagliabue works in the follow-up and treatment of infants with neonatal disorders as well as in the treatment of illnesses connected to premature birth, including:

  • Chronic lung disorders and chronic lung diseases and bronchial obstruction in infancy
  • Neonatal asphyxia and SIDS prevention (sudden infant death syndrome)
  • Delays in a child’s growth in length and weight and neuro behavioural delays
  • Nutritional deficiency
  • Congenital diseases

Treatment of childhood diseases:

Thanks to his years of clinical work as Head of the Maternity and Children’s Unit, Dr. Tagliabue has gained extensive experience in treating the most frequent diseases affecting children.

  • Treatment of infectious diseases which may affect the new-born baby:
    • Cardio-respiratory, including bronchiolitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, laryngitis, strep throat, colds
    • Abdominal, including diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, acetone
    • Other diseases , including chicken pox, rotavirus, ear infections, fifth and sixth disease, measles, whooping cough, mumps, rubella, scarlet fever, impetigo, ringworm, and flu
  • Treatment of allergies
  • Treatment of nutritional disorders

  • Treatment of growth disorders (delayed growth, extreme growth and obesity)

Thanks to his extensive experience, Dr. Tagliabue is often called as an expert in medical/legal disputes that involve problems connected to a child’s birth and the period immediately after birth.

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, it is assumed that acceptance of the assignment is subject to a prior presentation of the case.
